There are some "bugs" and quirks in the system. I'm hoping the "bugs" are being fixed. I ran into an error page when trying to put in some of my certificates. Just use the "Back" button and skip that section. After you enter a page and "Save", if you are not watching the page disappears, a new page comes up and says it will return to the page just "Saved" and then does. It only takes a few seconds but if you are looking away it looks as if you haven't done anything.
It is a bit confusing but stay with it please.
When registering, if you are not sure what is being asked for look for the
. Put you mouse arrow over that and wait a moment. A "HELP BOX" should appear. The box only appears for a few seconds so if you need to see it again, move your mouse away and then back over.
When registering, you must enter your name and Date of Birth {DOB} exactly as submitted by your fire company
Some Examples;
If entered as FIRST-NAME LAST-NAME you must use all caps!!
If entered as First-Name Last-Name you must use Upper and Lower case!!!!
If entered as FIRST-NAME M LAST-NAME you must use all caps and include your middle initial!!
If entered as First-Name Middle Last-Name III you must use Upper and Lower case, include your full middle name and the Suffix III!!!!
Be careful that you don't enter a space that was NOT in the submitted name! If you add a space, even to the end of a name it will NOT match the submitted name!!!!
If you are not sure how your information was entered, save yourself the aggravation and ask the person at your fire house in charge of submitting the names.
When you enter the LOGIN you want to use something easy for you to remember. BUT, to make it as secure as possible using a mix of Letters and Numbers is more secure. The LOGIN is NOT Case Sensitive!
Some Examples;
If your name is FIRST-NAME LAST-NAME, and you are from Station 99 flast-name99 would be a good LOGIN. {During Login Entry the Case doesn't matter.}
{Please make sure you write this down somewhere safe.}
{Make sure this is one you like because it's hard to change later!}
When you enter the PASSWORD you want to use, same as the LOGIN, think about what would be easy for you to remember. BUT, just like the LOGIN, to make it as secure as possible using a mix of Upper case, Lower case, and numbers is more secure.
Some Examples;
MYpassword99 might be a good PASSWORD.
{Please make sure you write this down somewhere safe.}
{While this can be changed, you must remember the old one to Login and change it!}
When you enter the PIN {Personal Identification Number} you want to use, same as the LOGIN and PASSWORD, think about what would be easy for you to remember. It will only be numbers! It must be 4 to 8 numbers long.
{Please make sure you write this down somewhere safe.}
{While this can be changed it requires a request to Chester County!}
{It can also be changed during the vetting process.}
{The PIN will be used once the system is fully implemented.}
When you Submit at the end of the Registration, if it doesn't take what you've entered, check the you entered you Names and DOB correctly. If that doesn't work, reenter your LOGIN and PASSWORD. If that still doesn't work try a slightly different LOGIN, you may have choosen one that already exists. If everything you try fails, then have the person at your fire house, who is responsible to handling the Credentialing take care of it.
If you belong to more than one Fire Company you do NOT have to register for the second, third, etc. companies. You just need to "Add Affiliation" under Enroll. When you Click on "Add Affiliation" it will fill in the Name and DOB of the company you are currenlty logged in as. If the 2nd, 3rd, etc., company submitted your name differently you MUST enter your name the way the company you are adding submitted your name. (IE If the 1st company submitted you name as First Last, that's how you had to register. If the 2nd company submitted you name as FIRST LAST that's how you must enter during "Add Affiliation". If your DOB does NOT match you must have your company administrator submit the correct DOB to Chester County.
If you do not have an E-Mail address, which the system insists upon having, Chester County has been having people enter none@none.com.
